Ivory poaching is endangering elephant populations across Africa.

When it comes to wildlife trafficking and poaching for animal body parts, the real culprits are the end consumers. There is only so much that law enforcement agencies can do for providing security, apprehending poachers and smuggling networks. Replacements are easy to come by and it is only the small fry that gets caught. The lasting solution is to stop the demand, and this can only be accomplished when people realize that they have no business to desire after another animals body parts, whether it be for medicinal or ornamental purposes.

Poaching elephants for their tusks is equivalent to killing humans for their teeth. So kindly do not encourage the sale or display of ivory products in anyway. When there is no demand, poaching stops automatically.

Let us remember the ancient Hindu phrase “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” the world is one family, and imbibe the true spirit of this ancient wisdom.
