Founders note: Dear Paws Trails Explorers Community,
As 2024 comes to an end, we look back on the updates from the wildlife photography and conservation world during November and December. The 2024 Nature’s Best Photography Awards featured stunning images, including a mother tiger with her cub, highlighting the deep connections in nature.
In Texas, wildlife officials undertook a bold mission, airlifting endangered desert bighorn sheep back to their native habitats, showcasing creative conservation methods.
Despite these efforts, challenges remain. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to classify monarch butterflies as a threatened species, underscoring the dangers facing pollinators and their ecosystems.
On a brighter note, initiatives like Vital Impacts’ Annual Print Initiative have been introduced to raise awareness and support for biodiversity conservation projects, featuring works from renowned photographers.
As we welcome the new year, Paws Trails Explorers remain dedicated to showcasing the beauty of wildlife through photography and advocating for their conservation. We are excited to continue this journey with you, our passionate community, into 2025. Together, we can make a difference.
Wishing you a prosperous and wildlife-filled New Year!
