Cheers to the successful completion of the Paws Trails International Wildlife festival, presented by National Geographic Abu Dhabi. The first three days of November saw the premiere of a first of its kind event in Dubai. Hosted by the prestigious Emirates golf club, the event saw eager participation from across UAE and a clutch of international visitors. Speakers and panelists from around the world, luminaries in the field of wildlife photography and conservation, made the event special with their presence. The event paved way for interaction and knowledge sharing and the eager crowd just lapped it up. This event was another jewel in the glittering crown of Dubai, and a pointer that Dubai is much more than the financial epicenter of the region.

The month of November brought more excitement with Xposure International Photography Festival at Sharjah, UAE. Paws Trails was a proud participant and exhibited 50 wildlife images, 25 from the Arabian peninsula and 25 from international locales and was the voice of conservation at the festival. It was an honour for us to receive the token of appreciation from His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council.

We thank all our audience for these two events for participating and making us feel valued. We are committed to become the voice of conservation of the region, but none of these would have been possible without the whole hearted support from our many volunteers. We are thankful for the generosity of our sponsors for making dreams come true. We are proud of the associations we are building with prestigious organisations like National Geographic and Emirates Nature-WWF.

And it is time to bid Goodbye to 2018, a busy, fruitful year for us. 2019 promises to be bigger and better with a packed calendar. And it is our prayer that if you are the kind who makes a New Year’s resolution, let it be to stand with mother earth and be a green warrior.

And some happy news to sign off – The Antarctic ozone hole seems to be mending. The biggest proof of what resolute decision making and commitment can do for the betterment of nature and the whole of human race.

Here’s to hope!
