PT Explores is pleased to present in Volume 12 an amazing array of outstanding and spectacular photography from around the world.

We are proud to announce the launch of a new feature ‘Her Views & Visuals’ which will portray the work of women in the field of wildlife photography and conservation. This edition features Emirati photographer Salma Ali Alsuwaidi and her seminal work in bird photography.

Award winning Indian photographer Varun Aditya tells the story of his life and displays amazing images. Indian naturalist, Fayyaz Mohammed Parker while counting and watching vultures in Rajasthan’s Jorbeer Conservation Reserve, discovers that cows have been filling their stomachs with plastic waste, thus slowly starving to death. The article points to the larger problem of plastic waste accumulating in the ecosystem and the big question of how the migratory birds are coping with the plastic entering their food chain.

Argentinian naturalist and nature photographer, Cynthia Bandurek reports on her 32-day exploration of five different protected areas in Costa Rica, a tropical country rich in biodiversity and wide variety of protected ecological lands.

Australian wildlife artist Brett Jarrett discusses his evolution as a self-taught marine painter and illustrator of marine mammals and seabirds. Brett spent years aboard research vessels in the tropical Pacific and numerous visits to Antarctica observing wildlife and collecting ideas for wildlife art.

New Zealand nature photographer Imogen Warren describes the amazing life of the Bar-tailed Godwit, a wader that nests in Alaska and then migrates across the Pacific in one flight to winter in New Zealand’s and Australia’s summertime.

This volume completes two years of publishing hundreds of very high-quality wildlife photographs. We thank the many writers and photographers who have volunteered and contributed to the growing success of PT Explorers.
