Involved in loon conservation since 1995, Kate Taylor is currently the wildlife outreach specialist for Biodiversity Research Institute’s Center for Waterbird Studies in Portland, Maine, US. Before joining BRI, she spent 12 years overseeing the scientific program for the Loon Preservation Committee in New Hampshire.
She is a contributor to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Status and Assessment Plan for the Common Loon in North America and co-authored the Common Loon Species Profile and Loon Recovery Plan for the New Hampshire Fish and ame. She is the co-author of a series of books by Willow Creek Press about the Common Loon and the Northwoods.
