Cheryl Cowell is the Shark Bay World Heritage Project Officer with the Western Australian State Government Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions. The position is supported and funded by the Australian Federal Government.
For almost 20 years, her role has focused on providing guidance for development and management actions across all tenures within the World Heritage Area to ensure that the status of the outstanding universal value and the integrity of the property are protected and conserved for future generations.
